My cousin can just be very cool. He found a couple of handmade great gifts for me for Christmas this year. The first being a Perpetual Birthday Calendar by Kirsten Johnson. The is cool for three reason. The calendar is local Toronto artist. Her art is drawings of sock puppets. Finally, I have a calendar to reference birthdays. It's sad when I have to email my cousin in Toronto to ask for an address of someone that lives in Portland. I've done this several times. I've also never been able to stay on top of Birthdays. Now I can easily with my very cool hip calendar.
The second oh-so-very cool present were these glove puppets by Roro Art. My cousin bought them at the One of a Kind Sale. I've never seen anything like them before.
Oh the hours of fun I will have with these!

Yay! I'm glad my gifts reached the cool threshold that is thatjoliegirl.com! I'm also glad you posted the links to the artists because they are both so wonderfully weird and lovely. The last two pics are making me laugh OUT LOUD! So fun!
