Friday night was the 11th annual Making a Difference Award banquet at the college where I work. I was nominated for two awards: the Helping Hand Award and the Tender Heart Award. I won the Helping Hand award. When I went up to get my award, I received a standing ovation. The only one of the night. That was so wonderful. I don't have a glamorous job, but I am very passionate about doing my job well. I am so happy to be acknowledged by students and staff for all the work that I do.

Clearly I haven't checked in! LOL. Well deserved! I'm so proud of you I could just burst! Too bad you didn't prepare an acceptance speech. You could have thanked all the little people (hello! ME!), Sleepy and then ended with some political shout-out like "Free Tibet!" Good times!

Dude, that ROCKS! I'm so glad you're getting recognition you deserve. I would have given you both the Helping Hand and the Tender Heart awards, but I guess they had to share the love with somebody else ... Standing O, baby!
